The Arctic Data Centre harvests information from a number of data centres globally. This is part of the legacy from the International Polar Year. The harvested information is ingested following a transformation to the data model used within the Arctic Data Centre and a subsequent quality control. This quality control still needs refinement. The data centres being harvested includes:
- British Antarctic Survey (UK)
- National institute for Polar Research (JP) - https://www.nipr.ac.jp/english/
- National Snow and Ice data Centre (US) - https://nsidc.org/
- NILU (NO) - https://ebas.nilu.no/
- Norwegian Polar Institute (NO) - https://npolar.no/
- Norwegian Marine Data Centre (NO) - https://www.nmdc.no/
- Norwegian Scientific Data Network (NO) - https://www.nordatanet.no/
- PANGAEA (DE) - https://www.pangaea.de/
- Selected datasets
- Polish Polar Database (PL) - https://ppdb.us.edu.pl/
- World Glacier Monitoring Service (CH) - https://wgms.ch/
In addition the original partner repositories of the Norwegian Partners contributing to the International Polar Year is harvested. these are currently collaborating in the Norwegian Scientific data Network (NordataNet) - https://www.nordatanet.no/partners/.
