This is a experimental TodaiWW3-ArCS wave forecast data set to support R/V Mirai Arctic Ocean expedition. The model is forced with the ECMWF forecast 10m wind field while the lateral boundary is imposed from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) sea ice concentration and thickness fields. The model is experimental and has not been tuned. The primary purpose of proviing the wave forecast is to support onboard decision making processes relating to wave measurement activities. The R/V Mirai forecast domain has 8 km resolution and covers the expedition scheduled track. This domain is nested within the pan-Arctic Ocean domain with 16 km resolution. The simulation is automated on the Google Cloud Computing platform, which was configured by T. Terui of ADS NIPR.
